When a local church group in collaboration with exceptional business partners approached ARFAi with regards to renovating the American hotel in Fort McLeod, we were excited to embrace the project. Our compassion for people with housing needs, in hand with our passion for Heritage conversation, has made this project a perfect fit for ARFAi.

As the western gateway to the town of Fort McLeod, this landmark project will provide great continuity to the preservation efforts of the historic main street. As an anchoring component of a historic corridor, and more prominently a civic icon, the restoration of the American Hotel preserves the culture of a small town of the prairies.

Support for the municipality and planning commission has boosted the confidence and efforts towards this vital preservation project, with Alberta Heritage latching onto this strain of optimism by committing their efforts to the vision as well.
