2008 | Kelowna, British Columbia

In April 2000, Pointe of View Condominiums (POV) and Statesman, along with the top sales representatives of POV met with Alvin Fritz to discuss a new project in Kelowna, British Columbia.
Feedback from the sales representatives and Al’s experience in condo design brought together a wealth of knowledge. After several days of collaboration, the architectural program was complete for what would later become a very successful project on the Okanagan Lake.
Alvin Reinhard Fritz Architect Inc. provided a unique design in which 95% of the suites enjoy waterfront views, never sacrificing the privacy of the suites. Windows on shared walls were located above eye-level, maintaining privacy but still allowing for natural light into the suites.
Discovery Bay Resort was so successful that a tower project, Sunset Waterfront Resort, was planned for an adjacent site. Sunset Waterfront Resort became Kelowna’s highest tower at the time, boasting 21 storeys.
